Inspired Art Chicago pairs poems from their America Scores program that were created by school age kids with artists who create a painting to go with a particular poem. This is the third year of this auction fundraiser and my third year participating. While the other artists are primarily from the Chicago area I found the program inspiring and wanted to be a part of it. This year I decided to put the focus on the poem as primary element of the painting. I have signed on the back. This is a highly textured mixed media painting, 8 x 8 on 2" cradled hardboard and will be available at the auction at South Halsted Gallery on September 30. More info available at:
