Saturday night was the opening reception for the 2011 William D. Cannon Gallery Juried Biennial. The night was a huge success with 850 people in attendance! The show features 61 artists from San Diego County and is a look at what's happening in contemporary art in the area. The exhibition was juried by Larry Baza, co-owner of Baza-Noel Fine Art in San Diego, and Peter Frank, Curator for the Riverside Museum of Art and art critic for The Huffington Post. The jurors poured through over 1100 images and pared it down to the pieces shown. I am very proud to be included in the wonderful group and will be including further images from the show in the upcoming weeks.My piece is titled SOUL FINDING and is an installation featuring an original joomchi with shoes.
The exhibition runs January 30 through March 18, 2011.
